Ice-Tea Peach

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water

  • 4 black tea bags (or 4 teaspoons loose black tea)

  • 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1 lemon, juiced

  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • Fresh mint leaves and peach slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and add black tea bags (or loose tea). Steep for 5 minutes, then discard the tea bags or strain the loose tea.
  3. Add sliced peaches and granulated sugar to the hot tea, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Allow the peach tea mixture to cool to room temperature.
  5. Once cooled, stir in freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  6. Transfer the peach iced tea to a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until chilled.
  7. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour chilled peach iced tea over the ice.
  8. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and peach slices if desired.
