Swiss Hot Chocolate
Ingredients:
- 200ml milk (whole milk recommended)
- 100ml heavy cream
- 100g high-quality dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, heat milk and heavy cream over medium heat until steaming but not boiling.
- Reduce heat to low and add chopped dark chocolate, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
- Stir in granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Continue to heat gently, stirring occasionally, until the hot chocolate is hot throughout.
- Remove from heat and pour Swiss hot chocolate into mugs.
- Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your comforting Swiss Hot Chocolate!
